And the same is true of the Anker PowerPort Wireless 10 charging pad. This Qi-certified charger is capable of fast charging and is almost in the same price bracket. Also, both have nearly the same structure. Hence, it only makes sense to pit both the RAVPower Fast Charge and the Anker PowerPort Wireless 10 charging pad to see which one is better suited for your needs. Let the game begin.

Design

The flat design of charging pads has one of the key advantages. This design makes it incredibly easy to charge your phone and wireless gadgets like earphones and smartwatches alike. As you may have already guessed, you can’t pull off the same feat with standing docks. When it comes to the looks of the RAVPower Fast Charge, you can rest assured that it’s one of the few good-looking charging pads around. The charger is made using premium material, making it worth every penny if you were to go by looks alone. The charging pad has non-slip material at the back and the front, which prevents both the phone and the charger from sliding. After all, you wouldn’t want to wake up to see your phone dangling off the sides of the charging pad, right? And the story doesn’t end there. The good looks are extended to the charging cable as well. It’s also braided which not only prevents daily wear and tear but also makes it tangle-free to an extent. Furthermore, the in-the-box cord is long enough, thus giving you the independence to just plug it anywhere. Another plus point is the 24-watt power brick that comes in the box. All you need to do is hook it to the charging pad, and you can reap the full benefits of fast charge. If you were to buy the power brick separately, it’d cost around $15. Interestingly, the Anker PowerPort charging pad is also a flat pad. However, instead of being circular, it sports a squarish look. Likewise, its upper face and back carry a coat of non-slip material. Ideally, this coating should prevent phones and earphone cases from sliding off the pad. However, there have been some instances where users have complained of the phone sliding off the edge of the pad. That stops the charging, and also puts your phone at risk, especially if the dock is located at the edge of tables and desks. Another thing which you might not like is its relatively mediocre looks. Compared to its counterparts above, the Anker PowerPort charging pad looks a little plasticity. It may matter a lot to many, especially if they use the premium phones like the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus or the iPhone XR. So you might want to consider that, before buying it.

Performance

The RAVPower charging pad packs a 10-watt charging coil. It has a charging speed of 7.5-watt for iPhone and 10-watt for Android phones. As we mentioned above, the company bundles a USB cable and power brick, which makes charging as fast as possible. The only issue with the RAVPower Fast Charge is that it’s a single-coil charger. That means you need to place your phone right precisely for top-ups. While it’s easy in the case of small phones, it can be quite an issue with the tall phones. Hence, even if the phone were to slide a little, the charging will stop. When it comes to the Anker PowerPort Wireless 10 charger, it works great as a bedside charger. You place your phone on the pad, and in the morning you’ll wake up to a fully charged phone. However, there’s a slight catch with fast charging. The PowerPort Qi can fast charge only if you hook a Quick Charge 3.0 adapter to it. And the adapter is not included in the box. Instead, you have to buy it separately. Apart from the above, the charging speed is as advertised of 5-watt. Of course, you won’t get the same speed as the wired version, but it’s almost near about. Do note that the Anker charging pad is also a single-coil wireless charger.

Compatible Devices

The RAVPower Fats Charge wireless charging pad and the PowerPort Wireless 10 charger are Qi-certified chargers. So they’re compatible with most phones that support wireless charging like the Samsung Galaxy series and the Apple iPhones devices starting from the iPhone.

Go Wireless

Unlike older times, wireless charging is no longer a feature found only in the ultra-premium phones. Now, most phone makers, starting from the likes of Samsung to Huawei, are jumping atop the wireless charging bandwagon. So, which charging pad should you go for? But before that, you’d need to see your requirement? If you just want a charger with regular speed and want to do away with the inconvenience of wires and charging cables, you can go with the Anker PowerPort Wireless 10. It has been rated 3.9 stars out of 5 and managed to grab around 57% positive reviews. But if you are looking for a wireless charger which has both the wireless capabilities as well as a stylish look, I’d say, go for the RAVPower 7.5W Fast Wireless Charger.
