Flashing the ROM
Step 1: Download viperX ROM base version and do an MD5 checksum. Open the ROM archived to drag and extract the file boot.img to the folder which contains the Fastboot files. Step 2: Having done that, transfer the ROM zip file to your One X internal SD card and reboot into recovery. Step 3: In the recovery, navigate to Install update from SD card—>Select zip from SD card and flash the viperX ROM. Don’t worry about formatting your system, the Aroma installer will take care of that. Step 4: In the Aroma installer, select the mods and apps you would like to install and de-install in the ROM. After flashing the ROM, reboot into the phone’s bootloader by pressing the volume down button along with the power button. Step 5: Now connect the phone using the data cable and open the folder where you copied the boot.img file. Hold Shift and right-click in the folder to select Open command window here from the context menu. Step 6: In the command prompt, type in Fastboot flash boot boot.img and press enter to flash the file. After you see the success message on your command prompt, restart your phone.
